Dopo lo straordinario successo del Little Phatty Tribute Edition, Moog Music ha presentato al Winter NAMM di Los Angeles il nuovo attesissimo synth Little Phatty Stage Edition.
La versione "Stage" implementa le stesse funzionalità e lo stesso motore per la generazione dei suoni già presente nella precedente versione Tribute, interamente progettato dal compianto Bob Moog, ma in più integra anche un nuovo software perfezionato e una nuova funzione di auto calibrazione. Altra novità non di poco conto è il prezzo, leggermente inferiore rispetto alla prima versione Tribute.
Si rafforza dunque ulteriormente il progetto di Moog Music di mettere a disposizione la storia e la tecnologia della casa madre ad una gamma ancora più vasta di musicisti, considerando che con il Little Phatty Stage Edition si ha di fatto un synth originale Moog ad un prezzo mai così accessibile.
Così come per il primo modello "Tribute" anche con la versione Stage si può contare su un percorso del segnale al 100% analogico con Real Analog Control (RACTM), due oscillatori controllati in tensione ultra stabili e un filtro sempre controllato in tensione. Il tutto insieme ad altre importanti feature come gli ingressi CV, il KB gate e il controllo totale MIDI in/out.
Tra i nuovi punti di forza della versione Stage Edition c'è un importante aggiornamento del software, che include la calibrazione automatica ed una funzione di "auto tune" che garantisce una perfetta accordatura sia che lo strumento si trovi in un freddo studio di registrazione o su di un palco con il calore dei riflettori.
L'aggiornamento del software include anche una pitch wheel asimmetrica ed il "pot mapping" arbitrario che consente di assegnare ai potenziometri diverse funzioni.
Naturalmente i possessori della versione Tribute Edition potranno scaricare gratuitamente questo aggiornamento del software direttamente dal sito Moog Music.
Il Little Phatty è un synth che colpisce subito non soltanto per il suono ma anche visivamente, anche questa versione dal punto di vista estetico è davvero notevole con dei nuovi pannelli laterali e un design sempre all'avanguardia.

Synth Engine:
Sound Sources are two ultra-stable analog VCOs. Parameters for the VCOs are:
- Osc. 1 Octave: 16', 8', 4', 2'
- Osc. 1 Wave: Continuously variable from triangle through saw and square to skinny pulse.

- Glide Rate
- Osc. 1 to 2 Sync On/Off
- Osc. 2 Frequency

An Envelope Generator section provides two ADSR EGRs: one to modulate the Filter (Filter EGR) and one to modulate the VCA (Volume EGR). For each EGR, the parameters are:

The Modulation section contains a 4-waveform LFO, and a 1x1 Mod Buss with 8 possible mod sources and 4 possible destinations. Its parameters are:
